Mr. Souma Subhra Roy Ms. Priyanka Patra Ms. Neelam Kumari …for the Petitioners The petitioners herein have prayed for a direction upon the court below for expeditious disposal of the proceeding in Misc. Case No. 82 of 2020 presently pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 4th Court, Bankura. Being aggrieved by the inordinate delay caused in disposal of the said proceeding, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that an application under section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, was filed on 2nd September, 2020 and since then the matter is pending and evidence of PW 1 is still going on. Petitioners are suffering a lot due to long pendency of the proceeding, and as such they prayed for necessary direction upon the court below for expeditious disposal of the proceeding. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners, it appears that the prayer made by the petitioners is innocuous and if it is allowed in terms of the prayer made therein, the opposite parties will have no cause to prejudice and as such, the service of copy of application upon the opposite parties is hereby dispensed with. 2 Having considered that the prayer made by the petitioners is justified in view of the long pendency of the proceeding, the instant application being CRR 3328 of 2025 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the court below to make every endeavour for expeditious disposal of the proceeding and to make its best effort to conclude the entire proceeding preferably within a period of six months from the next date of hearing.
