JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER The petitioner is seeking to raise a challenge to the impugned Memorandum at Annexure-E dated 11.08.2025 issued by the 5th respondent-Assistant Director of Land Records, Channarayapatna Taluk, directing the Taluka Surveyor, Revenue Inspector and other officials of the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:11771 WP No. 2183 of 2026 Taluk to conduct survey of all the lakes situated in Channarayapatna Taluk, mark the boundaries and fix boundary stones, in pursuance of the directions issued by the Hon'ble Division Bench in a Public Interest Litigation in W.P.No.38401/2014. 2. Learned Additional Government Advocate submits that the prayer in the writ petition is to quash the impugned Memorandum at Annexure-E. Learned Additional Government Advocate further submits that such a prayer cannot be granted, having regard to the admitted fact that the 5th respondent-Assistant Director of Land Records, is taking action pursuant to the directions issued by the Hon'ble Division Bench in the Public Interest litigation to remove all encroachments made on lakes throughout the State. 3. Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to the 5th respondent-Assistant Director of Land Records, Channarayapatna Taluk that if at all action is to be taken, proper notices have to be issued to the petitioner stating the extent of encroachment if at all made by the petitioner, afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner to have his say in the matter and thereafter, proceed only in accordance with law. 5.
