(2) Petitioner served as Teacher and she retired as Assistant Teacher, LT Grade on 31.7.2022. According to her, other similarly situate teachers were granted Grade Pay of ₹5400 as promotional pay scale, however petitioner has not been given that benefit. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief: “(A) To issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Respondents to forthwith grant the Promotion Pay Scale (Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-) to the petitioner from due date.” (3) Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that similar issue has been decided by coordinate Bench of this Court in WPSS No. 602 of 2014. He submits that writ petition can be decided in terms of the judgment rendered in the said writ petition. (4) Learned State Counsel, however, submits that if petitioner has not been given promotional pay scale, then she should have approached the competent authority, instead of rushing to this Court. He further submits that if petitioner makes representation, then the same shall be considered, as per law, expeditiously. (5) Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the competent authority. If she makes representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within ten weeks thereafter.
