1. Instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been preferred by the petitioner seeking following reliefs :- 10.1 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to consider and decide the application filed by the petitioner for grant of patta of the subject land bearing compartment no. P-185, rakba 0.30 hectare situated at village -Kapildevpur, Tahsil – Balrampur (C.G.) within stipulated period. 10.2 Any other relief or reliefs may also be granted to the petitioner which this Hon’ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in possession on 0.30 hectare of land, which is part of compartment No. P-185 situated at village – Kapildevpur, Tahisil-Balrampur since the time of his ancestors i.e. for the last 61 years. He further submits that the petitioner and his family members are residing in some portion of aforesaid land and cultivating the remaining portion. He further submits that application for grant of ‘forest right’ on aforesaid land has been filed by the petitioner in the year 2019. Various proceedings (Annexure P-1 colly.) has also been drawn by respondent No. 3 and his subordinate officers including officers of Forest Department, but his application for grant of ‘forest right’ on the aforesaid land has not been decided yet, hence, he prays that this petition may be disposed of directing respondent
3 No. 3- Collector, Balrampur-Ramanujganj (C.G.) to decide the application filed by the petitioner within stipulated period.
3. Counsel for the State submits that application filed by the petitioner shall be decided expeditiously in accordance with law.

Having considered the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioner, this petition stands disposed of directing respondent No. 3- Collector, Balrampur- Ramanujganj (C.G.) to decide the application filed by the petitioner for grant of ‘forest right’ on the aforesaid land expeditiously preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt /submission of copy of this order.
5. With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition is
disposed of. No cost(s).
