The petitioner has filed this petition seeking the following relief(s):- “10.(i) That, the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to grant seniority after completion of 5 years of his service as per notification within stipulated time, in the interest of justice. 10.(ii) That, the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to grant arrears alongwith 18% Digitally signed by RAMESH KUMAR VATTI Date: 2026.04.01 12:39:44 +0530 2 interest with all other consequential benefit, in the interest of justice. 10.(iii) Any other relief which may be suitable in the facts and circumstances of the case, may also be granted.” 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed on the post of Lab Technician at Government Engineering College, Bilaspur vide order dated 12.03.1996. He would submit that the petitioner has completed 05 years of service, but he has not been granted seniority and promotion. He would contend that though the petitioner was eligible for promotion to the next higher post in the year 2005, but till date said benefit has not been extended, therefore, the petitioner is entitled for arrears of salary from said date. 3. On the other hand, learned Government Advocate appearing for the State would oppose. 4. Heard learned counsel for the parties. 5. Taking into consideration the dispute involved in the present case, the petitioner is permitted to make a representation before respondents No. 2 and 3 and in turn, the said authorities are directed to decide it expeditiously strictly in accordance with law. 6.
