Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned A.G.A for the State as also perused the record. This application under Section 529 BNSS has been filed seeking direction to the court concerned to decide the Sessions Trial No. 742 of 2019 (State vs. Lalchandra Chauhan and others), under Sections 308, 323, 504 IPC, Police Station Handia, District Prayagraj, arising out of Case Crime No. 291 of 2014, pending before the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Court No. 21, District Prayagraj, within stipulated period. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that charge sheet has been submitted on 25.08.2014, whereupon cognizance has been taken. Thereafter, charges were framed against the accused on 21.11.2024 by the court concerned. It is submitted that since then, the matter is pending before the court concerned. Looking to the aforesaid circumstances, it is directed that trial pending before the concerned court be concluded expeditiously, as early as possible, within two years, from the date of filing of certified copy of this order, without granting any unnecessary or long adjournments to either of the parties, if there is no legal impediment.
