The representation made by the petitioner against the seizure of his property under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters & Anti Social Activities (Prevention) Act has been rejected by the impugned order dated 26.10.2024. Further by means of the impugned order, the District Magistrate has referred the matter to the competent court in exercise of powers under Section 16(1) of Uttar Pradesh Gangsters & Anti Social Activities (Prevention) Act. It is open to the petitioner to move an application before the learned competent court/Gangsters court for release of the property. In case such application is filed, the same shall be decided expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
