The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for seeking directions to official respondents No.2 to 5 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and also to direct respondents No.6 and 7 to close the inquiry against the petitioner and consign the case.

After arguing the matter at some length, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the present petition with liberty to avail alternative remedies as are available to him in accordance with law.

In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as aforesaid.
