Supplementary affidavit filed in Court today is taken on record. 2. The instant writ petition has been filed, inter alia, praying for a direction upon the respondents to disburse the outstanding amount of Rs.33,14,970/- against the work order dated 13th July, 2023 in connection with Notice Inviting Tender dated 14th June, 2023. 3. Mr. Sengupta, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner has drawn attention of this Court not only to the work order but also to the completion certificate issued by the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation dated 30th May, 2025, which has been disclosed in the supplementary affidavit. 4. According to the petitioner, although the petitioner has from time to time called upon and notified the municipal authorities that payments are outstanding 2 WPA 8940 of 2025 in respect of the work executed for which bills have duly been raised, such bills are yet to be processed. 5. Mr. Dey, learned advocate appearing for the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation on instruction submits that in the instant case the petitioner has, in fact, completed the job and the respondents are in the process of disbursing the amount due and payable to the petitioner. 6. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and noting the rival contentions and also noting that the petitioner had been entrusted to execute the job to the extent of Rs.33,14,970/- in respect of the work relating to supply of 10 HP Diesel pump on hire basis @ 8 hours per day including operator and fuel for dewatering at water logging area within Borough No.IV under Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation for the period from 11th June, 2023 to 31st October, 2023 which has been executed to the full satisfaction of the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation as would appear from the certificate dated 30th May, 2025, I am of the view that the municipal authorities ought not to withhold the lawful and just dues of the petitioner. 7. 7. Accordingly, the municipal authorities are directed to forthwith process the petitioner’s bills as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order and disburse the just dues as payable to the petitioner in accordance with law. 3 WPA 8940 of 2025 8. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
