Borthakur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam. 2. This application has been filed under section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraskha Sanhita, 2023, whereby the accused petitioner namely, Debajyoti Kalita @ Debajit Kalita, has prayed for bail in connection with Dispur P.S. Case No. 460/2026 u/s 69 of the BNS. Page No.# 2/2 3. He was arrested on 04/07/2026 based on an FIR lodged by the alleged victim girl on 01/07/2026. The allegations pertain to their earlier relationships and subsequent refusal to marry her. It is also alleged that he took significant amount of money from the informant. 4. The learned counsel submits that in the meantime, the parties arrived at a settlement and she has filed an affidavit which is annexed as Annexure-H in the bail petition. The affidavit reveals reconciliation and no objection to grant of bail. 5. In the meantime, the investigation is also stated to be complete resulting in a charge sheet vide CS No.507/2026 dated 31.07.2026 and submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. 6. In the given facts and circumstances, it is provided that the accused petitioner named above, shall be released on bail of Rs.20,000/- with one suitable surety of like amount to the satisfaction of learned concerned court subject to the conditions that he may co-operate in the process of law. 7. In view of the above, this bail application stands allowed and disposed of. 8. The copy of the letter dated 25.08.2026 regarding filing of charge-sheet may be kept in record. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
