learned counsel for the informant.
2. Invoking section 483 BNSS, the petitioner is seeking regular bail in
Page No.# 2/3 connection with Chhaygaon PS Case No. 121/2026 under section 87 BNS.
3. The case arose out of an FIR dated 10.06.2026 alleging that on 06.06.2026, in the late evening, the informant’s daughter left for one educational institution but went missing. Thereafter, he received a phone call from one number asking for her Aadhaar card. As per the forwarding report, forwarding the arrested person, Sohidul Islam, stated to be about 21 years, the girl has been recovered and as per the order dated 06.07.2026, passed by the learned Magistrate the statement of the victim girl under section 183 BNSS has also been recorded.
4. Mr. Sharma, learned Amicus Curiae, representing the informant submits that it is a case of elopement and the parties have settled the matter and the informant does not oppose the bail.
5. The petitioner having been arrested on 01.07.2026 is stated to have completed 56 (fifty six) days in under trial detention and the applicable statutory period is 60 (sixty) days.
6. In the given facts and circumstances, the grant of bail to the petitioner is allowed.
7. Accordingly, the petitioner shall be allowed to go on bail on furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 50,000/- (rupees fifty thousand only) with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Kamrup, Amingaon, subject to the further conditions that:- (i) He shall cooperate with the remaining investigation;
Page No.# 3/3 (ii) He shall not cause any harassment, harm or intimidation to the victim in any manner.
8. Violation of any of the bail conditions would entail cancellation of the bail.
9. Bail petition stands allowed and disposed of.
