D/L.03. May 05, 2026. KAUSHIK WPA No. 9928 of 2026 Mijanur Rahaman @ Mizanur Rahaman Vs. The State of West Bengal & Ors. Mr. Md. Kutubuddin … for the petitioner Mr. Srijan Nayak Ms. Rituparna Maitra … for the WBSEDCL. The grievance of the petitioner is directed against an illegal connection, which has been granted to the private respondent. The petitioner seeks restraint orders insofar as the electricity connection to the submersible pump operated by private respondent nos. 4 and 5. On behalf of WBSEDCL, it is submitted that there are private civil disputes by and between the petitioner and the private respondents and the petitioner is already enjoying a separate electricity connection for its submersible pump. In view of the above, the petitioner has been unable to demonstrate any enforceable legal right, which justifies consideration. The petition is lacking in bonafides and has been filed for extraneous considerations. WPA 9928 of 2026 stands dismissed. 2 However, there shall be no order as to costs. The Report filed by WBSEDCL be kept with the records. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.)
