The captioned Writ Petition is filed seeking following reliefs: i. Issue a Writ in the nature of Certiorari to quash the impugned Notice dated 29.04.2025 issued by the respondent No.2 Vide at Annexure-A. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:11698 WP No. 34025 of 2025 ii. Issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent No.2 to restore/reconnect the Power supply to the petitioner building in R.R.No.N2EH58439, Account ID No.2570907414, constructed in site No.87, Kendra Upadyayara Sangha Layout, approved by BDA, formed in Sy.Nos. 1/2 to 1/7, 2, 10, 50/1, 53, 54/1, 54/4A, 54/4B and 55/5 of Nagarabhavi Village, Yeshwanthpura Hobli, Bangalore. 3. Counsel for the respective parties urged several contentions. Heard the arguments and perused the papers with care. 4. Suffice it to note that the BESCOM authorities issued a communication to the petitioner. 5. Counsel representing the respective parties jointly submits that as against the confirmation order, appeal is pending adjudication before the Commissioner, GBA West, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. 6. Taking note of the pendency of the appeal, this Court deems it proper to quash Annexure-A and also direct the BESCOM authority to supply power connection forthwith subject - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:11698 WP No. 34025 of 2025 to petitioner paying the regular consumption charges. The power connection is subject to the outcome of the appeal. 7. The Writ of Certiorari is ordered. The impugned notice dated:29.04.2025 issued by the second respondent vide Annexure-A is quashed. 8. Resultantly, the Writ Petition is allowed. Because of disposal of the Writ Petition, interim order granted if any stands discharged and pending interlocutory applications if any are disposed of.
