For the Respondent No.2 &3 : Mr. Arun Kumar Pandey, Advocate 08/08.05.2026 The present acquittal appeal is directed against the judgment of acquittal dated 08.03.2019 passed in Criminal Appeal No. 128 of 2018 by the learned Sessions Judge, East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur, whereby and where under the judgment dated 29.05.2018 passed in C/1 Case No. 2818 of 2014 by the learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Jamshedpur convicting the respondent no.2 and 3, has been set aside and respondent no.2 and 3 have been acquitted from the charge under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act ( in short N.I. Act.) 2. Learned counsel for the appellant has informed that mediation has become successful. 3. It appears that vide order dated 18.02.2026 the matter was sent for mediation at JHALSA for amicable resolution of the dispute. Thereafter, a report has been received from the Secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee, Ranchi bearing letter dated 01.04.2026 annexing the mediation report, as per which, the mediation has become successful as the appellant has received the money and now the parties are satisfied. 4. Since, Section 138 of the N.I. Act is compoundable and also the fact that mediation has become successful, the offence stands 2026:JHHC:13819 2 Acquittal Appeal (C) No. 06 of 2024 compounded. 5. In that view of the matter, judgment of acquittal dated 08.03.2019 passed in Criminal Appeal No. 128 of 2018 by the learned Sessions Judge, East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur stands confirmed. 6.
