For Petitioner(s): Mr,A.Tamilarasan For Respondent(s): Mr.E.P.Senniyangiri, GA for R.1& R.2 ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- “directing the Respondents to disburse the EPF amount of Rs.7,40,000/- based on the petitioner’s representation dated 20.01.2026 within a time framed as may be stipulated by this Honble Court.” 2. The case of the petitioner is that he had joined the services of the 3rd respondent Society on 01.11.1987 and after rendering 38 years of unblemished service, he retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.07.2025. The petitioner would submit that at the time of his retirement, the 3rd respondent disbursed gratuity and earned leave encashment to him. However, the 3rd respondent had unlawfully withheld the Employees’ Provident Fund amount of Rs.7,40,000/-. However, till date, the said representation has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 3. Heard the learned counsel on either side. 4. Considering the limited request of the petitioner and taking note of the fact that the petitioner’s representation dated 20.01.2026 has not been disposed of to date, this Writ Petition is allowed. The 3rd respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner’s representation dated 20.01.2026 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
