DICTATED BY SUJOY PAUL, CJ.:
1. Parties are represented through their respective learned counsels.
2. Counsel for petitioners submits that for the present grievance, they have already filed a representation dated 25th February, 2026, which is pending consideration before the Railway authorities and the same may be directed to be decided by Divisional Railway Manager and/or Additional General Manager, South-Eastern Railway, Kolkata.
3. The other side has no objection, in this regard.
4. Accordingly, this PIL is disposed of by issuing following directions:-
2 (a) Petitioners shall resubmit their representation dated 25.02.2026 before the said authorities alongwith a server copy of this order; (b) The said authorities shall hear the petitioners and decide the representation by passing a reasoned order in accordance with law; (c) The entire exercise shall be completed within 60 days from the date of submission of the representation by the petitioners.
5. The instruction received by Sri Ghosh, learned counsel for the Railway Administration dated 01.04.2026 is taken on record.
6. With the aforesaid and without expressing any opinion on merits, this PIL is disposed of.
7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
