This appeal is directed against the order dated 07.04.2026 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Pakur in Misc. Criminal Application No. 111 of 2026, arising out of Pakuria P.S. Case No. 35 of 2025, corresponding to S.T. No. 180/2025, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected. It has been alleged that the appellant was apprehended by the Police along with other accused persons and from his possession two 500 rupees denomination counterfeit currency notes were recovered. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that one of the co-accused Dipak Pandit who was also apprehended with counterfeit currency notes has been granted bail in Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 533 of 2026. Learned counsel submits that the appellant is in custody since 19.07.2025. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant. Regard being had to the fact that one of the co- accused has been granted bail as noted above, we while setting aside the order dated 07.04.2026 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Pakur in Misc. Criminal Application No. 111 of 2026, arising out of Pakuria P.S. Case No. 35 of 2025, corresponding to S.T. No. 180/2025, direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Pakur in S.T.
