JUSTICE LALITHA KANNEGANTI - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:23388 WP No. 21636 of 2022 ORAL ORDER The present writ petition is filed seeking the following prayer. “Wherefore, the petitioner most respectfully prays that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to: a. Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent Nos.1 to 3 to grant police protection to the petitioner against local residents, villagers and any other person who restrains the petitioner from entering upon the subject land for carrying out development activity till such time as the threat perception persists; b. Pass such other order/further orders as this Hon’ble Court may be deem fit under the facts and circumstances of the case.” 2. When the matter came up on the last occasion, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and the matter was directed to be listed today under the caption for dismissal. Today also, there is no representation. 3. Learned HCGP appearing for respondents submits that when the petitioner has given a complaint they have conducted inquiry and “B” report has been filed on 19.10.2023. It is submitted that in the light of the same, they cannot grant - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:23388 WP No. 21636 of 2022 any protection to the petitioner and the petitioner's remedy is elsewhere. 4. Having heard the learned HCGP, perused the material on record. The relief that is sought before this Court is seeking police protection to the petitioner against the local residents. In that regard, the police have already conducted investigation and they have filed “B” report and the petitioner is not entitled for any relief from this Court. Hence, this Court is passing the following: ORDER i. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. ii. Pending IAs., if any, shall stand closed.
