Mr. Sujoy Bandyopadhyay, Mrs. Puja Naskar ….for the alleged Contemnor. 1. The Pradhan, Smt. Rita Naskar is present in Court in answer to the Rule. She tendered unconditional apology. 2. It is submitted that steps were taken by the concerned Gram Panchayat and the construction was found to be unauthorized. It further appears from a document produced by the alleged contemnor that part of the building was demolished by the PWD and the person responsible for such unauthorized construction was also asked to self-demolish. Moreover, it is submitted that the documents have been sent to the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer for necessary steps under Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1963. The documents which have been filed in Court today and which are available with the concerned Gram Panchayat shall 2 be served upon Mr. Md. Hasanuz Zaman, in course of this week. 3. Accordingly, the contempt application is disposed of. 4. It is needless to mention that the applicants will be at liberty to take such steps that are permissible in law. 5. It is also expected that the Sub-Divisional Officer will take necessary steps in this regard. 6. Rule stands discharged. 7. Contempt proceeding is dropped. 8.
