CORAM:
JUSTICE BIRAJA PRASANNA SATAPATHY
Order No.
ORDER 26.03.2026
02. 1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical) Mode.
2. Heard learned counsel appearing for the Parties.
3. The present Writ Petition has been filed inter alia with the following prayer:-
“In the facts and circumstances stated above, the Petitioners most respectfully prays that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to: a) Issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ directing the Opposite Parties to ensure full transparency in the declaration of results of the Combined Recruitment Examination-2023(IV) issued by the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission, by publishing in tabular and publicly accessible format the name, roll number, raw (actual) marks, normalized/percentile score, and result status of all candidates, shift/date-wise; b) Direct the Opposite Parties to publish the complete methodology, formula, statistical parameters and
computational ingredients adopted for normalization in the public domain on the official website, along with production and disclosure of the complete evaluation and normalization records; c) Direct that the results be made available in a clear, readable and publicly accessible format instead of a login-restricted or encrypted mode; d) Pass such further order(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case, to secure the ends of justice; And for this act of kindness, Petitioners shall ever remain duty-bound in gratitude.”
4. Even though learned counsel appearing for the Petitioners argued the matter at length, but failed to satisfy this Court as to in what manner, the recruitment in question has not been conducted in a transparent manner by the authorities of the Commission.
5. Learned Addl. Govt. Advocate also contended that the selection process pursuant to Annexure-1 has since been completed.
6. In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to entertain the Writ Petition with the prayer as made.
7. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed.
