This application has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India challenging the impugned order dated 24.07.2026 passed by the learned Principal Judge, Family Court-III, Kamrup (Metro) at Guwahati in F.C. (Civil) Case No. 604/2022. Page No.# 2/2 3. The petitioner is the respondent before the Trial Court. On 24.07.2026, the respondent was given the last opportunity to cross-examine the PW-1. On that day, upto 03.15 P.M., the respondent could not appear to cross-examine the PW-1. Therefore, the Trial Court closed the hearing of evidence of the petitioner’s side and posted the case on 29.08.2026 for DWs, if any, and for argument. 4. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel Mr. Mahanta. 5. Only for the ends of justice, this Court has decided to provide another opportunity to the petitioner to further cross-examine the PW-1. 6. Therefore, the impugned order dated 24.07.2026 passed by the learned Principal Judge, Family Court-III, Kamrup (Metro) at Guwahati in F.C. (Civil) Case No. 604/2022 is set aside. This shall be the final chance for the petitioner to cross-examine the PW-1. If on the next date, the petitioner fails to further cross-examine the PW-1, the trial court shall proceed with the case in accordance with the procedures as laid down by law.
