No.10133 of 2026 is ordered subject to the payment of separate court fee. 2.This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to grant patta in favour of the petitioners for the property, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 3.Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. He would submit that the petitioners have not filed any supporting document along with the petitioners’ representation dated 17.02.2026 and therefore, without any supporting document, the representation of the petitioners cannot be considered. 4.Learned counsel for the petitioners would now submit that the petitioners are willing to submit a fresh online application seeking for issuance of patta along with the supporting documents and a direction may be issued to the respondents to consider the said online application, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
WP No. 9414 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 5 5.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioners are allowed to submit a fresh online application seeking for issuance of patta and a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
6.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners’ application seeking for issuance of patta. 7.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the petitioners to submit a fresh online application seeking for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioners for the property, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said online application within the stipulated time, the third respondent shall pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections of the neighbouring land owners and any other third party whom the second respondent deems fit to enquire, within a period of 12 weeks thereafter.
