The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ application that the petitioner has applied for grant of Arm License (Pistol) before the concerned authorities, i.e., District Magistrate, Krishnanagar, Nadia on July 31, 2024 along with all relevant documents. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on receipt of the application filed by the petitioner, the police authorities also verified the character and incidence of the petitioner but in spite of the same till date no license has been granted and the application field by the petitioner is still pending before the District Magistrate, Krishnanagar, Nadia. 3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials on record. This Court finds that the petitioner has already made an application before 2 the District Magistrate, Krshnanagar, Nadia for grant of Arm License but that has not been considered till date. 4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Magistrate, Krishnanagar, Nadia to consider the application filed by the petitioner for grant of Arm License after giving an opportunity of hearing and to pass a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from date and to communicate the same to the petitioner within a week thereafter. 5. Accordingly, WPA 5128 of 2026 is disposed of. 6. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 7.
