Records of the case reflect that in the earlier order passed in CRM(NDPS) 563 of 2025 there was a direction to conclude the trial preferably within a period of 18 months. Such order was passed by the co-ordinate Bench on 24.07.2025. The said time period is still not over. As such, there is no change of circumstances. Consequently, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. However, I direct the learned trial court if after the time period is concluded and the trial of the case still would take some time, learned trial court would leniently consider the prayer for bail of the petitioner by imposing such conditions as he 2 deems fit and proper. With the aforesaid observations, CRM(NDPS)604 of 2026 is disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
