. HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD WRIT - A No. - 16475 of 2026 Chief Justice's Court HON'BLE ARUN BHANSALI, CHIEF JUSTICE HON'BLE KSHITIJ SHAILENDRA, J. 1. This petition is directed against order dated 25.02.2026 passed in Original Application No. 735 of 2023, whereby the OA filed by the petitioner seeking re-engagement and regularization has been dismissed. 2. A perusal of the record indicates that petitioner was engaged as Seasonal Labourer from time to time, based on which the petition was filed seeking re-engagement and regularization. 3. The Tribunal, after hearing the parties, came to the conclusion that the engagement was contractual, which came to an end with the expiry of the term and only on account of engagement on contractual basis for a period of six months at a time, the plea pertaining to regularization has no substance and consequently, dismissed the OA. 4. Counsel for the petitioner attempted to make submissions that as the petitioner has worked since the year 1997 as Seasonal Labourer, he is entitled for regularization. 5. However, the plea sought to be raised appears to be incorrect inasmuch as the petitioner has indicated his age as 33 years and in the Aadhar Card, the date of birth indicated is 20.02.1993. If the petitioner was born in the year 1993, as to how he was working as Seasonal Labourer since the year 1996, which aspect could not be explained by the counsel. Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Aqueeq Ahmad, Meraj Ahmad Khan Counsel for Respondent(s) : A.S.G.I., Pranay Krishna Mohd Mahboob .....Petitioner(s) Union of India and 4 others .....Respondent(s) 6. In view of above fact situation, no case for entertaining the writ petition is made out, the same is, therefore, dismissed.
