For petitioners : Mr. R.Krishnaswamy For respondents : Mr. M.Murali Vinodh Standing Counsel 2/7 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.9873 of 2026 O R D E R This writ petition is filed for the following relief: “To call for the records pertaining to the order dated 09.02.2026 passed by the 2nd respondent in proceeding No.102/Pl/PPl/TNSTC/Ko/EM/26, dated 09.02.2026, transferring the petitioner from Sathiamangalam Branch to Erode-I Branch of the 1st respondent Corporation and the consequential reliving order No. 17887 dated NIL passed by the 3rd respondent, reliving him from Sathiamangalam Branch w.e.f. 02.03.2026, quash the same and consequently, direct the respondents to retain and allow the petitioner to continue his services as a Conductor in Sathiamangalam branch.” 2. The petitioner would submit that he has made several complaints against the then Branch Manager of Sathiamangalam depot from where he is now transferred to Erode depot by the impugned order. The petitioner would further submit that the then Branch 3/7 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.9873 of 2026 Manager, Sathiamangalam depot is the present Branch Manager of Erode depot and he will be victimized in the event of him serving in the Erode depot pursuant to the impugned order. Therefore, the petitioner challenged the impugned order on the ground that it is a punitive transfer. 3. Heard the learned counsels on the either side and perused the records. 4. A perusal of the said transfer would indicate that he has been transferred for administrative reasons. The petitioner’s challenge to the transfer is on the ground that he is being transferred to Erode depot, where the Branch Manager is the person against whom he has made several complaints. Therefore, he would be victimised. 5. This contention cannot be a ground for revising the transfer as the transfer is one of the incidence of the employment. Further, the petitioner is only been transferred from Sathiamangalam to Erode which is not too far away. The distance between Sathiamangalam and 4/7 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.9873 of 2026 Erode is just about 60 Kms. and an hours of drive. 6. Therefore, the petitioner’s challenge to the transfer order is misconceived. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
