BEFORE HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE NELSON SAILO O R D E R 17.08.2026 The petitioner is the daughter of late Munshi Ram, who was an employee of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Bongaigaon Refinery. The grievance projected in this writ petition is that she and her two other siblings have not been released the provident fund amount of their late father despite submitting representation. 2. When the matter was listed on 31.07.2026, Ms. A. Chakraborty, learned counsel appearing for respondent No.3 was asked to obtain instructions in this regard. 3. Today, Mr. P.K. Roy, learned senior counsel appearing for respondent No.3, submits that the amount dues to the children of the deceased employee under Provident Fund Account No.NEGHY00094910000010206 and UAN 100238737604 have been settled on 14.08.2026 and 15.08.2026 in favour of the three children of the deceased employee. The amount would be credited to their respective bank accounts within a day or two. In support of his submission, learned senior counsel has produced a copy of the communication dated 15.08.2026 written to him by the Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (Legal). Page No.# 3/3
4. Considering the above, it appears that the purpose of the writ petition has been served since the relief has been granted by the respondent authorities. 5. In view of above, the writ petition stands closed in terms of the instructions. 6.
