Perusal of the record shows that the learned Trial Court convicted the applicant/accused for the commission of an offence punishable under Section 138 of N.I.Act, but the learned Appellate Court acquitted the accused of the commission of the aforesaid offence after holding that there was difference in the amount mentioned on the cheque in words and figures.
