The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only) i.e., 2nd Installment, sanctioned to the Petitioner (Application I.D. No.OV2018118255) under ‘Videshi Vidya Deevana’ Overseas Scholarship scheme, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. The Petitioner had applied for financial assistance under ‘Videshi Vidya Deevana’ Overseas Scholarship scheme for the academic year 2018-2019 and the same was allotted with Application I.D. No.OV2018118255. After due verification, Respondent No.3 sanctioned Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) in favour of the Petitioner for pursuing Master of Science (Computer Science) Course at Texas State University, United States in two (02) installments. Thereafter, Respondent- Authorities released 1st installment (Rs.5,00,000/-) to the Petitioner. Later, the Petitioner had completed her Master of Science (Computer Science) Course, but the financial

assistance i.e., 2nd Installment (Rs.5,00,000/-) as promised to the Petitioner was not disbursed to her. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. Sri Ch. Venkateswara Rao, learned Standing Counsel for Respondent No.3/Corporation submits that the application of the Petitioner would be considered and amounts would be sanctioned, if the Petitioner is within the conditions specified, for release of the amounts. 4. Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is
disposed of, with the following directions:- (i) The Respondents are directed to examine the claim of the Petitioner within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order. (ii) In the event, the claim of the Petitioner is held to be in order, the Respondents are directed to release the amounts to the Petitioner within a further period of eight (08) weeks.

(iii) There shall be no order as to costs.
