Order on Board 05.05.2026
1. This is an ofÏce reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 19.03.2025 passed in MCRC No. 1393 of 2025, while allowing the bail of the applicant, namely, Mohammad Farukh, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of that order, if there was no legal impediment.

4. The learned 3rd Civil Judge, Senior Division Ambikapur, District- Surguja (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 16.04.2026 has requested for grant of four months time for concluding the trial.
5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that that the prosecution had moved an application for taking on record the certified copy of an important revenue document. It is further revealed that in Criminal Case No. 1783/2025 (State of Chhattisgarh vs. Mohd. Farukh & another), the same witnesses as in the present case were examined first and only thereafter their evidence could be recorded in the present matter, which has resulted in considerable delay in disposal of the case. It is further submitted that despite due diligence, the prosecution evidence could not be concluded within the stipulated period, as 06 prosecution witnesses are still remaining to be examined and approximately 04 months’ additional time is required for concluding the prosecution evidence. In view of the aforesaid circumstances, it is most respectfully prayed that this Court may kindly grant extension of time to conclude the prosecution evidence.
6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today.
7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
8. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/- (Ramesh Sinha)
