It is further alleged that by fabricating false records as genuine, they manipulated the official registration entries and cheated the concerned parties. Hence, a case has been registered against the petitioner. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the defacto complainant and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that he is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and that he is ready to cooperate with the investigation. Hence, he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and, upon instructions, submitted that the petitioner along with other accused impersonated certain individuals and created forged documents relating to property registration and manipulated the official registration records. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5. I have given my anxious consideration to either side submissions. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 5229 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 6. From the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), it is seen that the petitioner had committed impersonation before a Government Department and the present complaint has been given by the Sub Registrar, Cuddalore. Considering the gravity of offence and the temerity of the petitioner in impersonating before the Government authority, this Court is of the view that it is not desirable to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. 7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 17-03-2026 ep To 1.The Inspector of Police, Thiruppapuliyur Police Station, Cuddalore District. 2.The Public Prosecutor High Court of Madras. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 5229 of 2026 __________ Page4 of 4 C.KUMARAPPAN, J. ep CRL OP No. 5229 of 2026 17-03-2026 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
