The Judicial Magistrate First Class, Bhatapara, District Balodabazar (C.G.), vide letter dated 11.03.2026, has sought extension of time in compliance with the order dated 15.09.2025 passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Chhattisgarh at Bilaspur in MCRC No. 7377 of 2025. It is stated that, as per the charge-sheet, a total of 43 witnesses are to be examined. Summons, bailable warrants, and arrest warrants are being issued continuously to secure the presence of the witnesses, however, despite service of such processes, the witnesses are not appearing before the Court, primarily due to non-execution/defective service of summons and warrants. It is further stated that due to non-appearance of witnesses within the time frame fixed, the trial could not be concluded. The Court is making all possible efforts for early disposal of the case. The period of six months granted by the Hon’ble High Court is expiring shortly, therefore, additional time is required to conclude the trial. Accordingly, it is prayed that an extension of six months’ time be granted to conclude the trial. 4. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 5. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 6. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/- d/- (Ramesh Sinha) Chief Justice vaibhav
