Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record. 2. The petitioner is pursuing an Undergraduate course in Numerical methods. The petitioner had unsuccessfully taken the sixth semester examination, failing in three subjects. Thereafter, on further attempts he had cleared two of the three papers. In so far as the third paper was concerned, the petitioner had sought for inspection of the answer scripts, which was refused by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (in short ‘MAKAUT’) by its communication dated February 25, 2026. The reason for refusal was rather strange. It reads as ‘no such paper is available in the even semester of 2024-25 course’. 3. Learned Advocate appearing for the respondent nos.2 to 4 (MAKAUT) submits that the application by the petitioner, at page 30 of the writ petition provided an incorrect roll number. It is because of this incorrect roll number, the reply dated February 25, 2026 had been given. 2 4. As it now appears, as submitted by the learned Advocate for the University, the paper is available and the University is ready and willing to give inspection of the said paper to the petitioner. 5. The petitioner is directed to take inspection on May 7, 2026 at the premises of MAKAUT with prior intimation to the Assistant Controller of Examinations, MAKAUT. 6. With the afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 7. There shall be no order as to costs. 8.
