Mr. Rajpal Thakur, learned Additional Advocate General, accepts notice on behalf of respondents. 2. When this case was taken up for consideration, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the limited grievance of the petitioner is for issuance of direction to the Authority to consider the service rendered by the petitioner as a work charge for the purpose of pension. Learned Additional Advocate General informs the Court that a policy decision has already taken by the Government that this period shall be taken into consideration for the purpose of pension. 3. In light of the fact that the prayer of the petitioner is for counting of this period for the purpose of pension and as is evident from instructions dated 04.04.2026, which are made available for the perusal of the Court that the State has taken a decision that service rendered by an employee as work charge followed by regularization shall count towards qualifying service of pensionary/ 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2026:HHC:10583 retiral benefits in accordance with CCS Pension Rules, this petition is disposed of with the direction that the work charge service rendered by the petitioner be also counted for qualifying service for pensionary/ retiral benefits in accordance with CCS Pension Rules.
