The present contempt petition is filed alleging non-compliance of order dated 19.02.2019 passed in WP(C) 2654/2017. By the aforesaid order, the respondents were directed to pay the arrears of salary due to the petitioner from 12.04.2017 till 31.01.2018 i.e. from the date of his release from service and till the date on which he would have been retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. The respondent has filed an affidavit and has taken a stand that the arrears of salary amounting to Rs. 97,081/- has already been paid. In support of such contention, an acknowledgement accepting due receipt of the aforesaid amount has also been annexed with the affidavit by the respondent. In view of the above, this court is of the opinion that the order dated 19.02.2019 passed in WP(C) 2654/2017 has been complied with. Accordingly, the present contempt petition stands closed.
