The petitioner participated for recruitment as Constable (GD) in CAPFs. His height has been measured as 169.7 cm. 2. The petitioner prays for adopting the provision for rounding off and treating the height of the petitioner as 170 cm in terms of the recruitment medical guideline applicable to CAPFs. 3. Reliance has been placed on the order passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court on April 13, 2026 in Civil Appeal No(s). 4423-4426/2026 @ SLP (C) Nos 13390- 13393/2026 @ Diary No. 68753/2025 [Union of India & Ors. vs. Atul Kumar Verma & Ors.] wherein the Court accepted the provision for rounding off. 4. Learned advocate representing the Union of India submits that the direction passed by a coordinate Bench of this Court directing rounding off of the height is under challenge before the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court and the appeal is due to be taken up for consideration by the Hon’ble Division Bench shortly. 2 5. The Court is not inclined to adjourn the matter awaiting disposal of the appeal by the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court as the issue in question has been set at rest by the order passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court on April 13, 2026 in the matter of Atul Kumar Verma (supra) wherein the Hon’ble Supreme Court was pleased not to interfere with the direction passed by the High Court to apply the principle of rounding off to any candidate who measured 169.5 cm and above. 6. In view of the above, the respondent authority is directed to proceed with the selection of the petitioner by treating him as qualified in height. 7. Steps shall be taken by the authority at the earliest without any further delay but positively within twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. 8.
