At the very outset, learned counsel for the appellants submits that in addition to the amount of compensation awarded by the Claims Tribunal, the appellant No.01/claimant is further entitled for an amount of Rs.40,000/- on head of loss of consortium. 2. The aforesaid submission has not been disputed by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 3. Accordingly, the amount of compensation of Rs.12,39,600/- awarded by the Claims Tribunal is enhanced to Rs.12,79,600/-. Hence, after deducting the amount of Rs.12,39,600 /-, the claimant No.1 is held entitled for an additional amount of Rs.40,000/-. The concerned respondent No.3 is directed to deposit the amount of compensation as enhanced by this Court within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The additional amount of compensation shall carry interest @ 6% per annum from the date of filing of claim application before the Tribunal till its realization. Rest of the conditions of the impugned award shall remain intact. 4.
