JUSTICE SACHIN SHANKAR MAGADUM ORAL ORDER The captioned writ petition is filed complaining of inaction on the part of the respondents in not considering the objections submitted by the petitioners pursuant to the preliminary notification issued under Section 28(1) of the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board Act, 1966. It is the specific grievance of the petitioners that though detailed objections were filed, inter alia contending that the extent of land held by them has not been properly - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:16860 WP No. 6427 of 2026 reflected in the preliminary notification and raising other objections touching upon the validity of the acquisition, the same have not been considered by the competent authority. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent– authority, on instructions, submits that the objections filed by the petitioners would be considered expeditiously, if reasonable time is granted. 3. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court proceeds to pass the following: ORDER (i) The writ petition is allowed; (ii) The respondent–authority is directed to consider and examine the objections submitted by the petitioners, as evidenced at Annexure–J, in accordance with law; - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:16860 WP No. 6427 of 2026 (iii) The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
