This writ petition has been filed against an order passed on 18.9.2026 under section 27 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as the "Act"). 2. Sri Yash Padia, learned counsel appearing for the Kanpur Development Authority states that the petitioners have an efficacious alternative remedy of filing an appeal under section 27(2) of the Act. 3. Without going into the merits of the case, we direct that if the petitioners file an appeal within the period of limitation provided under the Act, then the same shall be decided within a period of two months thereafter. It is further provided that for a period of two months or till a decision is taken on the appeal, whichever is earlier, status-quo shall be maintained. 4. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
