Datta, learned P.P. appearing for the State. During hearing, Mr. S. Lodh, learned counsel submits that he is not pressing this bail application but he is urging for a direction to the learned Special Judge, Sepahijala to expedite the trial. Mr. Lodh, learned counsel also submits that the accused surrendered before the learned Special Judge on 11.12.2024 and since then he is in custody and though the learned Special Judge is fixing the calendar repeatedly but the official witnesses are not turning up in due time. Considered the submissions. The bail application is disposed of being not pressed. Learned Special Judge will take an endeavor for expeditious trial of the case considering the fact that the accused is in custody for a considerable period and for that purpose, the learned Special Judge may take any coercive step against the witnesses, if it is found that despite receipt of summons and without any lawful excuse, they are not appearing before the learned Special Judge.
