This Court, vide order dated 20.12.2024, passed in MCRC No. 8265/2024, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Sonu Kumar Sahni, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law preferably GOURI MUDALIAR Digitally signed by GOURI MUDALIAR Date: 2026.01.23 18:07:46 +0530 2 within a period of six months from the date of order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on one occasion also, this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 20.12.2024. 4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act) Durg (C.G.) vide her request letter dated 08/01/2026 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in this case at present, the case is fixed for recording of evidence & regarding the presence/service of summons upon the accused Sonu Kumar Sahni, owing to the absence of the accused, further proceedings in the matter could not be carried out and due to the continued absence of the accused, the case could not be disposed of within the prescribed time limit. Hence, she prays for grant of further 08 months time for concluding the trial. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8.
