By way of this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioners seek police protection, in view of apprehended threats from their family members [respondent Nos. 5 to 8]. 2. It is stated in the writ petition that the petitioners have been in a relationship for the past three years and have married each other on 01.07.2026. In this regard, a copy of the Certificate of Marriage issued by the Arya Samaj Mandir Parichalak Trust has been filed alongwith the writ petition. Copies of the Aadhar cards of the petitioners have also been filed, which show that the date of birth of petitioner No. 1 as 19.09.2001, and that of petitioner No. 2 as 21.08.2000. Their Class XII marksheets- cum-certificates also bear the same dates of birth. From these documents, This is a digitally signed order. In these circumstances, Mr. Anand V. Khatri, learned Additional Standing Counsel, submits that the State will provide the phone numbers of the jurisdictional Station House Office and Beat Constable, at the place of the petitioners’ residence, so that they may be contacted in the event of any exigencies. However, Mr. Khatri submits, upon instructions from SI Mukesh Tomar, Police Station Wazirabad, that the petitioners were not, in fact, found to be residing at the address mentioned in the memo of parties, within the jurisdiction of Police Station Wazirabad. 4. Mr. Anil Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits, upon instructions from the petitioners, who are present in Court, that they have changed their residence after the filing of the writ petition, due to threats being received from their family members. 5. The petitioners will provide their current address to Mr. Khatri, who states that the above directions will be followed by the jurisdictional Police Station. 6. As no further orders are sought, the writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 7. It is made clear that this Court has not issued notice to respondent Nos. 5 to 8, and this order is not intended to reflect upon the veracity of the petitioners’ allegations.
