Mr. D.K. Bankoti, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Pradeep Hairiya, Standing Counsel for the State. 2. Petitioner is serving as Deputy Forest Range Officer in District Nainital. He was transferred from Surai range to Ramnagar Forest Division, Ramnagar vide order dated 23.07.2024. Feeling aggrieved by his transfer, he filed this writ petition. 3. One of the contentions raised by petitioner was that since he is a senior employee and is due to retire in the month of December, 2026, therefore, he could not be transferred at the fag end of his service career. 4. Coordinate Bench of this Court granted interim order in favour of the petitioner, on the strength of which, petitioner is still serving at Surai range. 5. Learned State Counsel submits that if petitioner makes representation against his transfer to the competent authority, the same shall be considered sympathetically. 2026:UHC:734 6. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the competent authority. If he makes representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within six weeks thereafter. 7.
