HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. - 2397 of 2026 Chief Justice's Court HON'BLE ARUN BHANSALI, CHIEF JUSTICE HON'BLE KSHITIJ SHAILENDRA, J. 1. This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner, who is a Corporator, seeking action against the Chairman, Nagar Panchayat, Kaudiyaganj, District - Aligarh. 2. Submission has been made that petitioner has made a complaint by registered post on 18.08.2026 making various allegations, however, no action has been taken by the respondents and therefore, the respondents be directed to conduct fair and impartial enquiry and lodge first information report against respondent nos. 4 and 5. 3. A perusal of the petition as well as complaint made by the petitioner reveals that the allegations though have been made by the petitioner, the same lacks in particulars. The allegations made regarding the interference of respondent no. 4's husband in the meetings of the Nagar Panchayat, if correct, must be going on since the year 2023 and as to what prompted the petitioner, a Corporator, after almost three and half years, to make allegation is not reflected. Apparently, being a Corporator and having fallen out with the Chairman, the allegations have been made. 4. Be that as it may, filing of a Public Interest Litigation within a few days/weeks of filing of the complaint of the present nature, cannot be countenanced. 5. The petition is, therefore, dismissed.
