JUSTICE PURUSHAINDRA KUMAR KAURAV O R D E R % 16.07.2026 Lawyers are abstaining from appearing in the Court due to enhancement of the pecuniary jurisdiction of the District Courts in Delhi from Rs.2 Crores to Rs.10 Crores. 1. None has appeared for the applicant. Ms. Shubhi Gupta, learned APP appears for the prosecution. 2. The Court has perused the status report filed by the State before the trial Court and also gone through the reasons assigned in rejecting the applicant’s interim bail. It is found that the applicant is facing a trial in commercial quantity and is involved in previous Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS) cases. There seem to be nine accused persons who have been arrested between April and June, 2026. One of the accused persons, namely, Sabir Khan was arrested only on 14.06.2026. Bearing in mind the seriousness of the offence where 578 grams of heroin was recovered from the present applicant, besides the recovery of the some contraband articles from other co-accused persons to high magnitude, the Court is not inclined to consider granting ad interim bail. 5. Once the entire investigation is completed and the chargesheet qua all the accused is filed, the applicant shall be at liberty to file a fresh application. 6.
