JUSTICE DEVASHIS BARUAH ORDER Date : 21.01.2026 Heard Mr. A. Roshid, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Applicant and Mr. A. I. Ali, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Election Commission of India. 2. The present application has been filed seeking correction of the order dated 20.08.2025 passed in WP(C) No.4707/2025. 3. It is the case of the Applicant that inadvertently at paragraph No.5 of the order dated 20.08.2025, it was mentioned that the Petitioner was marked with the letter “D” in the voters list in respect to LAC No.47, Chenga, Village Damal Jhar, District Barpeta whereas it should have been “the voters list in respect to LAC No.43, Barpeta, Village Kahibari, District Barpeta”. 4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Applicant submitted Page No.# 3/3 that on account of the translation of the voters list, this error had crept in and resultantly, a mistake was committed in the order dated 20.08.2025. 5. This Court has also perused the records of WP(C) No.4707/2025 and upon perusal of the vernacular version of the voters list, it is seen that the Petitioner was marked with the letter “D” in the voters list in respect to LAC No.43, Barpeta, Village Kahibari, District Barpeta and not in respect to LAC No.47, Chenga, Village Damal Jhar, District Barpeta. 6. Accordingly, this Court therefore disposes of the instant application by making correction to paragraph No.5 of the order dated 20.08.2025 thereby the words “the mark ‘D’ in the voters list in respect to LAC No.47, Chenga, Village Damal Jhar, District Barpeta” at paragraph No.5 of the order dated 20.08.2025 be read as “the mark ‘D’ in the voters list in respect to LAC No.43, Barpeta, Village Kahibari, District Barpeta.” 7. The instant order shall be a part of the order dated 20.08.2025 passed in WP(C) No.4707/2025. 8. I.A. stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
