Narinder Kumar Vs. State of H.P. Cr. MP(M) No. 929 of 2026 18.06.2026 Present: Ms. Anjali Soni Verma, Advocate, for the applicant. Mr. Raj Negi, Deputy Advocate General, for the respondent-State. Cr. MP(M) No. 929 of 2026 Mr. Vedhant Ranta, Advocate, submits that he has been representing the applicant as Legal Aid Counsel upon receiving appropriate instructions from the High Court Legal Services Committee and, pursuant thereto, after obtaining instructions and a vakalatnama from the applicant. He submits that he had filed the present application along with an appeal seeking condonation of delay in filing the appeal against the conviction of the applicant. He further submits that, in the meanwhile, the applicant has independently engaged a private counsel, namely, Ms. Anjali Soni Verma, Advocate. He states that the applicant is now being represented by Ms. Anjali Soni Verma, Advocate, who has filed a Power of Attorney on behalf of the applicant during the course of the day and, therefore, he may be discharged from representing the applicant. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, the prayer made by Mr. Vedhant Ranta, Advocate, is accepted and he is discharged from representing the applicant as Legal Aid Counsel. Henceforth, name of Ms. Anjali Soni Verma, Advocate, be reflected in the cause list instead of Mr. Vedhant Ranta, Advocate (Legal Aid Counsel), as counsel for the applicant. Heard. The delay in filing the appeal against conviction is condoned. Application is allowed and disposed of. Cr. A. (C-DB) No. ____/2026 (Cr.AST No.5205 of 2025) Be registered. Notice. Mr. Raj Negi, learned Deputy Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondent. Admit. Records be requisitioned. List for hearing in due course after completion. Cr. MP No. 2119 of 2026 In view of the fact that the application as well as the appeal preferred by the applicant/appellant have already been considered, no further orders are required to be passed in the present application and the same is disposed of accordingly. Cr. MP No.______/2025 (CRMPST 5208 /2025 Application stands disposed of, with direction to file certified copy of the judgment dated 23.11.2024 and order of sentence dated 26.11.2024, passed by Court of Special Judge Una, District Una, H.P., in Sessions Trial No. 82 of 2022 within three weeks. Cr. MP No.___/2025 (CRMPST 5206/2025) This application is disposed of, being not pressed at this stage, with liberty to file afresh, if occasion arises to do so. Application stands disposed of.
