JUSTICE ANUP JAIRAM BHAMBHANI O R D E R % 10.07.2026 Pursuant to what was recorded in last order dated 02.07.2026, defendant No.2/Reddit Inc. has furnished to the plaintiffs the particulars of defendant No.1 who was operating the handle ‘Techtalkwithmalik’ on defendant No.2 platform i.e. Reddit. 2. Pursuant to the above, Mr. Imran Malik, who operates defendant No.1/M/s Techtalkwithmalik has joined the hearing via video- conferencing. 3. Mr. Malik submits that he posts reviews about new cell-phone models released in the market; and the offending posts appear to have been placed on Reddit and Instagram by inadvertent mistake, for which Mr. This is a digitally signed order. Mr. Saif Khan, learned counsel for the plaintiffs submits, that on their request defendant No.1 has deleted the entire post on Instagram and the photographs on Reddit; however, according to Mr. Malik, due to some technical issues he is unable to delete the offending caption to the photographs on Reddit. 5. Mr. Ankit Parhar, learned counsel appearing for defendant No.2 submits, that he is given to understand that since the photographs have been deleted by defendant No.1, the caption would also get automatically deleted over a period of time. 6. Mr. Khan submits, that they are willing to close further proceedings in the suit subject to the offending caption also being deleted from Reddit, subject to directions by this court. 7. In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, and in particular by defendant No.1 appearing in person, this court is of the view that the present matter can be brought to a closure, subject to the following observations/directions: 7.1. The unconditional apology tendered by Mr. Imran Malik/defendant No.1 is taken on record and accepted. Mr. Malik is cautioned against future actions of the type complained-of. 7.2. Defendant No.2/Reddit is directed to ensure that the offending caption that was subject matter of the present suit is also effaced/deleted from their platform within 02 weeks. 8. Subject to the above, the suit is disposed-of. 9. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed-of. 10. At this stage, Mr. Khan seeks refund of the court-fee. This is a digitally signed order. In view of the Court Fees (Delhi Amendment) Act, 2026 which came into effect on 06.03.2026, section 16-A of the Court Fees Act, 1870 (as was applicable to Delhi) has been omitted. Accordingly, section 16 of the Court-fees Act, 1870 would be applicable, which allows for refund of the entire amount of court fee affixed on the plaint. 12. Accordingly, the Registry is directed to draw-up the requisite certificate in favour of the plaintiff for refund of the entire court fee affixed on the plaint within 10 days from today.
