The petitioner is already holding a firearm licence and seeks a second firearm licence. However, his application for grant of a second firearm licence was rejected, and the appeal preferred against the said rejection was also dismissed on the ground that no sufficient reason had been assigned for granting an additional firearm licence. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has failed to demonstrate any illegality or infirmity in the impugned orders warranting interference by this Court. 3. In view of the above, no ground for interference is made out. However, it is open to the petitioner to apply for conversion of his existing firearm licence to a licence for a different category of firearm, in accordance with law. 4. The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
