He was transferred from Kaphnaul, Naugaon to Purola within the same district i.e. Uttarkashi. Challenging transfer order dated 29.07.2024, petitioner filed this writ petition. An interim order was also granted in his favour vide order dated 12.08.2024, pursuant to which petitioner is still continuing at the original place where he was posted. 3. No useful purpose would be served by keeping this writ petition pending. Ms. Mamta Bisht, learned counsel for petitioner also submits that she has lost contact with her client, therefore, she has no instructions in the matter. 4. Having regard to the nature of relief claimed in the writ petition, this Court thinks that ends of justice would be met if petitioner 2026:UHC:694 is permitted to make representation to the competent authority regarding his transfer. 5. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the competent authority. If he makes representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within six weeks thereafter. 6. For a period of eight weeks or till decision is taken, whichever is earlier, status quo, qua petitioner’s posting shall be maintained.
